Whatsapp group pinned messages

The latest WhatsApp update's blockbuster feature list has ended with the ultimate 2024 add-on: the ability to pin messages for the instant messaging app. WhatsApp is adding a feature that allows you to pin a message at the top of your chat for up to 30 days. Meta says this feature, which is already available on its mobile Facebook Messenger app, is now rolling out to users, so not everyone can see it just yet.

To do this, users need to long-press on a message and then tap "Pin." There's a default duration of seven days for a pinned message, but users can change it to 24 hours or up to 30 days. Any message can be pinned, whether it's a poll, a picture, or even a video. In group chats, only admins can make a message visible to other admins by pinning it.

All direct messaging chat programs should incorporate this capability to prevent users from being extremely frustrated when attempting to arrange something in a crowded I Message group conversation or, worse while navigating a cluttered SMS thread. It can be very simple to overlook important details about what's going on when there are fragmented conversations spread across several messages, irrelevant jokes on one side, and GIFs flying all over the place. It will be quite helpful to pin a message anywhere. Like it has done everywhere else in the world, Meta launched an advertising campaign for WhatsApp in the US last year since the app is growing in popularity and continues to add new features.
